How did your household income/potential income influence the number of children in your family? Did you and dh stop at a certain number of kids because you wanted to be able to provide certain things for each child?

I have a pretty careful system as well -- I have a spreadhseet that plans ahead a few months at a time knowing that every other week i get my paycheck (salaried so always the same) and on the off weeks I get my child support (such as it is bahhahah). So I project what bills need to be paid out of each check (most of them ic an project out --b/c they're pretty consistent, cable, phone etc.. the wild cards these days are gas, heat and uhg groceries) I alway over project if I'm not sure. Then I keep tallying up what's left over week to week to give me an idea where the spots are where I'll run into trouble and need to transfer some money and where the times are that I can comfortably sock awya more in my moneymarket/savings etc and what I have left for "fun". it keeps me well organized and has avoided me having any real crises. Althoguh I hate spending money so it's been pretty easy to keep myself in line!

my dd cheered in a league like that when we lived in dallas and the cost was more than we pay now, less the cost of camps and they were only required to have one pair of shoes, not two. but the girls had to purchase their own uniforms, every year.

I am very organized with bill paying too. I do mostly everything either online or it automatically comes out of my checking account. From what I hear from others of how they pay their bills, I do pretty good-lol!! I hear around the office how people don't know where they are going to get their car insurance for that month, etc.!! I would not be able to sleep-lol!! I guess that is why my dh's and my credit scores are soooo good!

That stinks. If she stayed in, and the uniform still fit (which it would have), we didn't have to purchase another. Shoes, yes as she would have destroyed them or out-grew them.

She could never go to the camp in the summer as I work ft and it was a half day camp.

yeah me neither -- I'm compulsive about this since it's only me and i can' tfall back on anyone else for help. I pay on line or auto pay as well for everything except liza's afterschool/camp/dance expenses. And I monitor my balances like a hawk! This way if kelly and I go out to eat I know I can afford it b/c I'm on top of my committments.

Me too. My dh, that is another story-lol!! That is why "I" do the bills. He would see the money in their for clothes, activities, home, etc. and think it would be "free" money! I would like to build up on this money so if we do need something big done for the house or large car repair, they money will be there and we will not have to use the cc's and be stressed out.

<<Yes you do as you don't know what kind of level studio they are if you don't go to it or anyone you know.>>

In this whole debate, outside of mentioning competition dance, where did we speak about the quality of the program?
