How did your household income/potential income influence the number of children in your family? Did you and dh stop at a certain number of kids because you wanted to be able to provide certain things for each child?

Just like I have no experience with activities my children have not been in, I can't see how you would know exactly how much things cost and what it entails if you have not had a child in that activity. Of course you can go by what someone tells you but if you are not involved in the week after week details, you really don't know.

My daughter pays dues by the meeting now too but they use to do it twice a year. If you look around, most everything is paid by the month.

A group of you? What, was there some midnight conclave where you decided who would ask the questions?

I know the kind of school, if not the exact school that PA sends her kids to. And the schools do not turn away "low-income minorities." It might even be the case the the school she sends her kids to has more "low-income minorities" than her local public school.

I don't know how long you've been lurking here before you joined, but you are relatively new to this conversation as an active participant. What an awful thing to impute to someone you hardly even know!

Ah, debating things that haven't been stated.

The problem is you have NO clue how much it costs in your area and you don't want to take the time and find out because it is probably much less. Most places out of NYC is much less, even LI.

"No, I have not."

When someone answers nope, as opposed to no it usually means they are not being forthcoming. Try it out.

"Diversified, how?"

Racial make up, as I stated before. Any minorities on the team? Any minorities in the school?

Actually this started out as a comment that activities couldn't possibly cost $185/week.
