How did your household income/potential income influence the number of children in your family? Did you and dh stop at a certain number of kids because you wanted to be able to provide certain things for each child?

We live in a nice area too. I still chose to take my dd 20 minutes away for gymnastics lessons. I can see why people who live in nice areas might chose private school for their children too. Just living in a nice area with adequate programs doesn't mean that one may not chose to go outside of their area for education and lessons.

That is not unusual for any area. My dh drives 45 minutes to work. Work and activities are 2 different things.

I agree with you on that but you usually choose a sport league in your area because you go to it many times a week. Maybe if you have many choices like we do, I wouldn't understand why you would travel so far to go to baseball or dance or gymnastics, etc.

"As I stated before, they racial make up is about the same. Quote from previous post "Which is about 50% white, 30% Black and 10% other."

Sorry to butt in but shouldn't that equal 100%, not 90%?!!-lol!!

Why would it even cross your mind that "quality" has anything to do with racial makeup? I think it's completely independent. The color of the students has no more to do with the quality of the program than the color of the paint used on the school walls.

I haven't a clue as to why you posted it.
