How did your household income/potential income influence the number of children in your family? Did you and dh stop at a certain number of kids because you wanted to be able to provide certain things for each child?

yeah .. well I was trying to keep it simple so that other people might actually have a chance of understanding.
I don't dance though ... sorry, guess you and I aren't meant to be.
"You made a six figure salary for years and still didn't pay off your student loans?"
That is correct. We chose to put money elsewhere and buy the big ticket items we wanted to buy while we had a high household income(with the knowledge that we were going to willingly reduce it drastically in the near future). Student loan is essentially interest free so it made enough sense to us to leave it as is; pay it off the way we had been for over a decade LOL.
"Some of us stay WOH FT and living in or near the city to have the ability to help our children as much as we choose with the costs of their college educations - that's a big reason why women with preschoolers WOH rather than SAH around here."
I think that is a very admirable reason for WOH. Obviously I've not deemed that a reason for myself personally to WOH at least for the next couple of years.
