Can we please voluntarily end this thread from grlimilakinskeeper, or whatever her screen name is...it's getting too personal, and not very productive.

LOL, and just what issues would those be? You know from my participation in a debate board what my issues are? I don't think so. Something I do for entertainment value isn't going to tell you what my "issues" are.

Yes. Why do you ask?

No, I just don't have any use for counselors. If I need someone to talk to, I have plenty of people I don't have to pay, lol. If I need help, I'll call a doctor.

WRONG!!!! My dd went in because she was having difficulty with the math program. Finding out what math program it was cleared up why she was having difficulty. If you're going to make statements about my life, please get them straight.

I don't go to doctors repeatedly as one would a counselor or pshychiatrist. When they invent a test like a physical for mental health that is done annually, I'll consider taking it, lol.

I don't see much use for counselors. If I need someone to talk to, I talk to a friend. It's a lot cheaper. Usually just costs me a few beers, lol.

Not if they're told they're not. My brother and I never thought we were responsible for our parents divorce. Kids tend to believe what they're told. The trick is to talk about it and let kids know the subject is not taboo.

And counselors do???? Thanks for the laugh. BTDT and had to clean up the mess made by bad advice from counselors!! I'd rather my dd's talk to their friends and me.

You put way too much faith in the advice of counselors. The last thing I want is someone who doesn't even know my child and their situation telling them what to do!!!
