Can we please voluntarily end this thread from grlimilakinskeeper, or whatever her screen name is...it's getting too personal, and not very productive.

Well of course parents are supposed to TALK to them about it. I never said they werent. However, if they dont, its quite common for children to feel responsible-which is why experts ADVOCATE reassuring them its not their fault. O123 thinks that kids just dont ever feel that way.

You should read some of the articles I linked for Opinion. Might be enlightening.

So are you saying that your endless posts about your personal life, childhood, your stepsons, stepsons wife/girlfriend, the boss, your dh, etc etc etc, are all done for *entertainment value*? Are they just things you make up, scenarios? Or the truth?

You can glean a lot about a person over the years by reading things they write. Kind of like delving into a journal. Unless of course you've been making things up all along, in which case you are right, no one has a clue what your *issues* are.

Unfortunately, you dont seem to know what your issues are either.

Your number one issue is you don't know how to read properly. I never said I knew what your issues are. I said you have issues. That stem from your childhood. Like TM said, one would have to be a tree stump to not figure that one out.

I don't know what your issues are because things affect us in different ways. Who could have guessed that my watching my mother being beaten by my father would give me life long issues around money? Well, it did. *That* is my issue (and one I certainly don't divuldge too much about on an Internet board and then call it "entertainment"). Like I said, I don't know what yours are and wouldn't presume to guess. But you have them. The fact you have to come here and talk them out for free rather than going to counseling is one clear indicator. ho ho ho

I answer questions when asked and defend my stance but you don't know all there is to know. Most of it simply doesn't apply to the debate. What you know about me is my debate style not me.

It was probably advice from a BAD counselor. . .not bad advice from counselors.

Yes, I was told I don't love my kids enough to SAH with them when they found out I'm an engineer.
