Dang I really miss the old Archive Parties, so let's lighten things up with a couple fluff questions.

Now...for the newbies, here are the rules. Answer honestly, and play nice.

1.) What is the LEAST nutritous meal you ever fed your kids?

2.) Most embarassing parenting moment?

3.) What quote from a movie/song is constantly popping in your head?

4.) If you could take ONE person from this board to a deserted island, who would it be, and why?

5.) Do you watch Jerry Springer? Even bits and pieces of it?

6.) What is the worst parenting moment you *ever* had?

1.) What is the LEAST nutritous meal you ever fed your kids?

Night before last I split a can of ravoli between Alex (20 months) and I

2.) Most embarassing parenting moment?

We were at the ped. and the nurse asked if Alex had any temper problems. Zak (6) answered her with no-but my mother yells all the time. DHS should be knocking on my door anytime

3.) What quote from a movie/song is constantly popping in your head?

This is not my beautiful wife-Talking Heads

4.) If you could take ONE person from this board to a deserted island, who would it be, and why?

Okmommy-as long as excellent child care was provided. She needs the rest and some space from her agonizing situation.

5.) Do you watch Jerry Springer? Even bits and pieces of it?

Ugh...never.

6.) What is the worst parenting moment you *ever* had

Zak and a little girl were ticking each other after school. I found out that the little girl was in an unsafe home enviroment and knew more than she should. I have talked to Zak until I am blue in the face about bad touches and being uncomfortable and telling us even if it a relative, friend or leader of some activity. I never talked about friends! It was awful and really scary. At least it happened at 6 and not 12 or 13. It was incredibly difficult to find the right words to explain it was not appropriate behavior and, even though it felt good, the behavior had to stop.

1.) What is the LEAST nutritous meal you ever fed your kids? *I would have to say kraft cheese slices and dill pickles. That was Angie's favorite breakfast food when she was little.*

WHAT WERE YOU THINKING??? EVERYONE turned and looked at me like I was the worst parent in the world. I wanted to dig a hole and bury myself right then and there.*

3.) What quote from a movie/song is constantly popping in your head? *I can't think of one right now.*

4.) If you could take ONE person from this board to a deserted island, who would it be, and why? *I think it would be YOU annie. I love your posts and I think you would be awesome in person..full of common sense.*

5.) Do you watch Jerry Springer? Even bits and pieces of it? *Nope. I can honestly say I've never watched Jerry Springer.*

6.) What is the worst parenting moment you *ever* had? *When we found the marijuana roach in my dds ashtray in her car the SECOND time.*

The night they told me my dd had ruptured her spleen.

1.) What is the LEAST nutritous meal you ever fed your kids? (ice cream sundaes for supper)

2.) Most embarassing parenting moment? (When my dd threw up on me in church. She was about 8 years old and didn't tell me she was sick to her stomach before we left. It was one of the few times we sat close to the front instead of the back.)

3.) What quote from a movie/song is constantly popping in your head?

(It is from "The Princess Diaries" that my dd keeps watching. The lyrics are "I'm a supergirl and I'm out to save the world, but I want to know...who's gonna save me?" Can't get it out of my head!)

4.) If you could take ONE person from this board to a deserted island, who would it be, and why? ("Cyndilouwho" because she is the one I disagree with the most here and it would be interesting to know who she really is on neutral ground where the issues of money, SAH vs. WOH, equality and such are of no consequence.)

5.) Do you watch Jerry Springer? Even bits and pieces of it? (I admit I watched about 30 seconds of it once while flipping through channels. I never did again and never will. Except for Oprah and Dr. Phil I don't waste my time on daytime t.v. talk shows.)

6.) What is the worst parenting moment you *ever* had? (About two years ago I really lost it with ds, then age 7. I don't remember what he even did that set me off but I turned into a banshee and just yelled at him. The look on his face will haunt me. I had never yelled at him like that and it terrified him. Of course I told him I was sorry and asked his forgiveness and I'm not even sure he remembers the incident, but I sure do.

1.) What is the LEAST nutritous meal you ever fed your kids?

Ummm...well....my daughter had UHOH Oreos for breakfast yesterday. We were running REALLY late, and I didn't have ANY fruit in the house, and she asked if she could take a couple and eat them on the way to school, so I let her. (BAD MOMMY!)

2.) Most embarassing parenting moment?

When DD was about 16 months old or so (less than 18, b/c DS wasn't born yet), we were at the grocery store on a BUSY Saturday afternoon. There was a little girl (probably about 4 years old) in front of us just SCREAMING her head off. So, in that "top of my lungs so everyone can hear" voice that kids can ONLY do in public, DD says, "Mommy, That baby is being BAAAAAD! UGH! Funny thing is, everyone in the store was agreeing with her, except the red-faced mom in front of me! hehehehe

3.) What quote from a movie/song is constantly popping in your head?

Not sure on anything specific here, but quotes from Steele Magnolias are always popping up in conversation with me.

4.) If you could take ONE person from this board to a deserted island, who would it be, and why?

ewwww...only one? I dunno...I think I would have to choose two. The first would be Beth because she is just awfully sweet, and we get along so well, and would have a blast!

The other would be PetenJoeysmom because it would be like taking my sister. Love her to death, but MAN can we disagree! lol

5.) Do you watch Jerry Springer? Even bits and pieces of it?

Oh, dear God no! As a matter of fact, when it is on at the dr's office or when my husband "pauses" on it while "surfing" the channels, I have to leave the room!

6.) What is the worst parenting moment you *ever* had?

UGH...that wasn't too long ago. I was having a REALLY bad time of it, and was soooo frustrated with almost everything and everyone. Instead of taking my kids to a friends or grandmas or the drop-in play place like i SHOULD have so I could have a time-out, I decided to bring them on home from school. They were HORRIBLE! Screaming at each other, hitting each other, FITS...and it is only about 10 minutes from school to here. ACK! By the time we got home, I was soooo fed up that I SLAMMED the sliding door on the van so hard I pulled it off it's track. It really made me understand how I need to take "time-outs" when I feel the need.

1.) What is the LEAST nutritous meal you ever fed your kids?

In the fall I make an entire meal out of homeade doughnuts and apple cider...

2.) Most embarassing parenting moment?

When dd2 was having a hard time getting some cake on her fork at a more formal dinner with great grandparents. She said a reeeeaaallly bad word as an expletive. After she said it once, and realized that grandma and grandpa had not heard her, she yelled it louder to catch their attention. The worst part was I spit wine through my nose trying not to laugh so hard.

3.) What quote from a movie/song is constantly popping in your head?

"Let me hear you make decisions without your televisions, Let me hear you speaking just for me" - "Stripped" - Rammstein

4.) If you could take ONE person from this board to a deserted island, who would it be, and why?

I'd take Cindyluwho because she is an engineer. Maybe she could make a radio out of a coconut and we could call for help :)

5.) Do you watch Jerry Springer? Even bits and pieces of it?

*ahem* I will admit I used to watch... (before 3 years ago cos the cable lineup here does not include it... hah!

6.) What is the worst parenting moment you *ever* had?

The day I heard dd18months crying after we put her to bed. I could not figure out where her cry was coming from - to my total and complete shock, she was standing outside at the front door. She fell through the box fan in her window and landed in the driveway.

Unbelievably, after a trip to the ER all she had was one tiny scratch. It only took a few moments after we tucked her in.

Okay, ROFLMBO, can you IMAGINE THIS group of ladies at a weekend "retreat" together? OMG!!! THAT could be fun! If I ever win the million $$$ lottery, I will pay for ALL of us to meet up at some vacation location and have a weekend together. I'm not sure about the bail money for some of us though...rofl

1.) What is the LEAST nutritous meal you ever fed your kids?

One snow day, I let the kids make fun sandwiches. Basically bread, frosting, m&m's, peanut butter, etc. No rules, they could put anything they wanted on it. It was pretty gross.

2.) Most embarassing parenting moment?

My sweet little 3 year old DD telling everyone on her day care field trip to the Zoo about her "f*cking d*mn dog" And another parent in my group saying "So I take it you have a dog?" My DS found it extremely humourous and proceded to tell the rest of the parents (that had missed it) on the bus.

3.) What quote from a movie/song is constantly popping in your head?

"The Christians and the pagans sat together at the table, finding peace in common ground the best that they were able." Dar Williams

It reminds me of this board. :)

4.) If you could take ONE person from this board to a deserted island, who would it be, and why?

Pete&Joeysmom, she always gives me so much to think about. Even if I don't agree with her at first, I usually come away with some new insight.

5.) Do you watch Jerry Springer? Even bits and pieces of it?

DH and I used to watch it all the time when we were dating. But that was before the guests came out in their underwear. (What? I flip through the channels now and then...)

6.) What is the worst parenting moment you *ever* had?

Taking DS to a family barbeque when he was 5 (About 1 year into my parental experience!) and having the aunts tell me he had chicken pox. I had dismissed the red marks a few days earlier (!) as mosquito bites.
