Very interesting. Particularly the difference in the middle to upper income kids vs low income.

"I personally feel children need the nurture of their parents and the home," she said. "Those early years, that's when they are bonding to their family. That nurturing, only the family can give that."

I tend to agree.

Art is very important to our family and we do a lot of it, including going to museums and art showings. And when we homeschooled, some of it was part of school if specificly done for school but not all of it and not now. No more than anything else we do as a family or individually.

Nice try, but your tautology is no definition. My kids are also homeschooled, and homeschooling is also their primary education. Call me a liar if you wish. If you don't need to define homeschooling any better than that, then neither do I.

Okay, then that includes me. Of course you'll deny it, but that's just another unsubstantiated claim.

Sorry. Activities, not Association. DYA.

As for the rest, if you agree with me, why are you arguing with me? I made NO other claim other than the fact that girls can play baseball and have been for decades. Anything else is in your imagination; I suggest you take up the discussion there.

Hey, John, too! We spent most of ages, 13 and 14 on the Sex Ed lab. It's a good thing we have two bathrooms and lots of handtowels.

But that could be the definition of many holidays. What is the definition of Christmas that differentiates it from... say... Easter? (Which I celebrate as a non-secular non Christian holiday)

Thank you. Now I'll answer your question. There is no way ~ none ~ that the advanced learner has special needs tantamount to those needs that a child with a learning disability has.

That's not the definition of Christmas. Your teaching is flawed. The definition of Christmas is accepted and historic. How you personally choose to celebrate Christmas doesn't change its definition.

Anyway, mistakes and errors are not something I personally value in an educator. Especially with something so simple. Do you own a dictionary?

thank you TB3....hk isn't the first one here to twist the meaning of christmas here either. those *most* distant and astray from church are the ones most critical and off target of what holidays (christmas, easter too...) really represent.
