Very interesting. Particularly the difference in the middle to upper income kids vs low income.

Accept a truce? WTF? I didn't know it was a war! It's just a silly debate that has gone on too long only because there's still some humor in it somehow. I don't much care about winning/losing either, as long as claims are well supported.
Of course you're free to believe what you want about meanings of words or the nature of debate. But please don't insult others when they do the same.
BTW, linguists agree there is no such thing as objectively true word meanings. Word meanings are agreed upon by those who share a given language. They're conventions, and they change over time. That is why you can't expect support when you try to use your idiosyncratic definitions in debate. Especially when you discount others' POV.
