Very interesting. Particularly the difference in the middle to upper income kids vs low income.

"I personally feel children need the nurture of their parents and the home," she said. "Those early years, that's when they are bonding to their family. That nurturing, only the family can give that."

I tend to agree.

"Which, if any, do you think make the difference between homeschooling and parenting?"

All of them.

Why even answer questions wrt to homeschooling practices if you aren't homeschooling?

if it makes you feel better to say i lied go ahead - funny thing is you are the only person who saw it that way. the fact is i do those things with my kids on a year round, daily basis. the label you or i might apply to it is irrelevant. for about the millionth time, what is it that you are doing with your daughter that other parents are not doing with theirs that makes you think it is homeschooling but what the rest of us are doing isnt. the fact is, that based on your use of the word homeschooling every parent on this board is a homeschooling parent. if you think you can, name one who isnt doing exactly the same things with thier kids that you do with yours

By the way, have fun debating my life.

But alas, I'm headed out to go work out in my garden :)

Correct, unless of course they want accreditation from the state, then

However, if you make a claim and know good and well that you are not doing what you claim to be doing, there *is* a discrepancy.

that is not what i did however. every claim i made, other than the label applied to it was absolutely true. the activities are fact, what does a label have to do with that

exactly - how many parents do you know who dont do educational things with their kids when school is not in session. of course i am the person who believes most things little kids do are educational - in that they are always learning something from everything they do.

So are you mistaken or wrong?

Why do you think those questions are unique to homeschooling?
