Very interesting. Particularly the difference in the middle to upper income kids vs low income.
"I personally feel children need the nurture of their parents and the home," she said. "Those early years, that's when they are bonding to their family. That nurturing, only the family can give that."
I tend to agree.

"Are you technically "working"?"
Yes.
"It seems to me you are planting and watering."
That is correct.
"You don't get paid for that now, do you?"
No. No pay. What's your point?
"Please use the correct definitions."
Such as?

"But I am homeschooling. Yep, I've decided I definitely am. That list of questions made it crystal clear to me. In fact, almost everyone I know is, too."
So, let's see those answers then.
Again, Why even answer questions wrt to homeschooling practices if you aren't homeschooling?
"'Fess up. Clearly you are certain that the alternative to your method of parenting is what the rest of the parents do: just plop 'em in front of a tv."
Nah. Thanks anyway though.

"What a most fortunate coincidence that your DD's teacher recently spoke to you on the very same subject we are debating."
Fortunate coincidence? Recently?
"I can't imagine a teacher weighing in one way or the other on a child's choice of engaging in rock polishing and origami."
Fess up. Clearly you are certain that homeschooling = rock polishing and origami.

"it doesnt"
That's right. Homeschooling doesn't make dh and I look better.
"it is pretty much a consensus here that is your goal,"
To look better?
Even though, homeschooling clearly doesn't accomplish such a goal? Sorry, but I'm not following your logic here. Do you honestly think that the purpose of homeschooling is to look better?
"but you have yet to reach it.
True. Nor will I ever reach it, as it is not my goal (nor even a logical one btw).
"i dont think anyone thinks homeschooling equals rock polishing and orgami, but everytime you bring up homeschooling your daughter those are what you use to show you are homeschooling."
Yes, that is correct.
Among several other long term interests btw.
