Very interesting. Particularly the difference in the middle to upper income kids vs low income.

"I personally feel children need the nurture of their parents and the home," she said. "Those early years, that's when they are bonding to their family. That nurturing, only the family can give that."

I tend to agree.

so if you would give us the differences/distinctions/definition of homeschooling that you are using perhaps then the rest of us could determine if using your clarification if we are homeschooling or not. by the way i do believe that i homeschool based on what i know of the way you see it. perhaps you dont want to do that because then it might be shown that most parents do homeschool and then what would you claim you do better than others.

To paraphrase Gloria Steinem: Momofhk needs logic like a fish needs a bicycle.

"why do you think that you do homeschool yet have no problem calling others liars when they claim they are also homeschooling?"

This is where post 809 comes in (sorry for the confusion btw):

"Bottom line - If you make a claim and do exactly what you claim to be doing, there is *no* discrepancy (aka no lying).

However, if you make a claim and know good and well that you are not doing what you claim to be doing, there *is* a discrepancy (aka lying). "

See.....we are using yours, since of course yours is the one up for debate at the moment and yours is the one that you posted questions on.

so what exactly (dont just throw out the word homeschool) does she not do with her kids that you do with your daughter. does she not read to/with them, does she not do art projects with them, does she not take them places and teach them things, does she not spend time with them, etc..... whats the difference.
