Very interesting. Particularly the difference in the middle to upper income kids vs low income.

"I personally feel children need the nurture of their parents and the home," she said. "Those early years, that's when they are bonding to their family. That nurturing, only the family can give that."

I tend to agree.

if i believed in something as strongly as she believes that what she does is homeschooling i would never shy away from explaining/defending my position - that she refuses really has to make you wonder. and not to long ago when we were discussing homeschooling werent most of the true homeschoolers more than willing to discuss the subject and stand up for their choices and beliefs with concrete topics - not just calling others names or ignoring questions

But what if you're lying?

you keep reposting this, if you truly believe you homeschool your daughter why can you not give examples of what you do as a homeschooling parent that other parents do not do? are you that afraid of learning that what you do is not so special and that pretty much any decent parent does the same thing you do

Sorry, that's getting you nowhere. "Homeschooling" is one of those words most of us agree on. You're entitled to your own definition, of course, but since we don't know what it is, we'll go with ours.

I totally agree with you and I don't understand it myself.

I have a few friends who homeschool their kids 100%, not in addition to public school, but instead of public school and they are always very happy to explain, answer any questions and fully explore the subject of homeschooling with anyone is has asked.

i have pretty much come to the conclusion she knows she is not doing anything more than any other parent does and she just cant/wont face it.

<

What is your definition of truth?>>

You ask her this after you've repeadedly accused her of lying? Obviously her definition will be different than yours. If she answers, how will you know she's giving you her reeaalll definition?
