When I read some of the post on this board isn't the whole SAH vs. WOH all about making the best of the situation at hand?
I realized today that my life is good!!

Now that's some optimism, Miss Canada.
I feel this way most of the time.
Sorry I just realized last night that life is pretty good LOL.
Then that's a good night!!!!
You should spread your joy....
It's really nice to see...
As my grandmother used to say, "Happiness is a choice".
maybe I'm a total goofball but I never saw my life and my choices as being abuot 'winning' in the end.... for me some have been good choices some have been bad choices but I think the important thing is to OWN your choices OWN the bad and the GOOD and love your life. love LIVING life.
all the rest is just static.

Yes. We. Did.
Life is competition.
Horse Hockey.
you can MAKE Life into a competition but what's the prize at the end? You don't have to die? I think not.
Life is about love. It's about friendship. It's about family. It's about feeling like you've made a difference in ways big and small. it's about cookie dough ice cream cones and the new Star Trekmovie. it's about waking up and saying "yeah. this is good" . It's about knowing you're loved and that you love. It's about laughing loudly deeply and often. It's about doing well b/c YOU want to do well not so you can 'beat' someone else. it's about sleeping in on a snowy morning or getting up early on a summer morning to go for a long bike ride. it's about eating pancakes for dinner on a Saturday night in February.
It's about having the courage to change what doesn't work and the ability to accept what's out of our hands. It's about saying "I made a wrong choice and that's ok because now I'm making the right one." It's about saying "I was wrong." or 'I need help" or "let me help you." and most of all it's about syaing "that's ok. I still love you." and hearing that in return. It's about knowing who youare and loving that person. it's about loving your family and friends inspite of their flaws because they love you in spite of yours. It's about compromise and principle and beliefs and values and all the things that make us each wonderfully unique.
There's no medal at the end. There's no przie. There are no trumpets. There is, if we're lucky, a peaceful whistle of a sigh before we leave the world. And hopefully when we leave the world we leave people behind who love us and miss us and think of us with a smile.
if I leave this world with just one person saying "Katie made a difference to my life" then that's all i need.

Yes. We. Did.
"To take a happy go lucky I don't care attitude towards our choices runs counter to what society teaches."
And i'm sure it will come as no suprise to you that I really could give a cr*p what "society teaches"
