When I read some of the post on this board isn't the whole SAH vs. WOH all about making the best of the situation at hand?
I realized today that my life is good!!

Is life about winning?
~Actually, the whole SAH/WOH debate is about validation...~
It makes sense that this is why you come by for the debate (and maybe why some others do).

I'm going to pop in, thanks :)
I wasn't "raised this way" either (when you're poor you're taught by family those things don't matter, probably because your parents don't have them.).
Ok youre right I do care what others think - I care that they think I'm kind. that I'm honest. That i have committment. That I'm funny. That I make them laugh (my motto is that a day isn't a good one unless I've made at least one person laugh out loud) that I was decent and honorable. That I worked hard for causes I believe in. That I helped out friends and family in need. Yes. you're right. I do care.
But do I care that people know I struggle financially? no. Do I care that people know I buy my bread at the day old thrift store? no. As a matter of fact I laid it all on th eline publicly in a testimony to our state legislature to support the creation of a task force on working families. I was right in there with the welfare moms and the TANF moms and I was proud of it b/c it spurred legilsation in our state that can help.
But yes. I want to leave a mark as a decent kind big h earted fun loving person. THAT I do care about."If gay Americans are not allowed to get married and have all the benefits that American citizens are entitled to by the Bill of Rights, they should get one hell of a tax break. That is my opinion,"
