in about 2 years.

I had not given it much thought before a few days ago.

A friend/co-worker asked me if I would be quitting when DD3 graduates from college. My reply to her was that we still had some parent loans to be paid off, which will be done in about 2 years.

And what are the things that you will be able to spend your time doing as a SAH that you aren't able to do, or do as much of, while you WOH?

I can think of things I would like to do more of, but not enough to fill the time I spend working, so I think even after retirement, I will have to do something part time, but something I love, regardless of the paycheck.

Your dh does not sound like a chauvenist pig. He sounds like a very nice and respectful man.

I spent 15 months at home and was bored to tears. There are certainly parts of the brain that just need outside stimulation, and getting paid is a nice bonus, too. I think we all think about being home and being free form work, but then unless you have a lot to do in order to fill that time, it's really not that fun after just a few days.
