Men are inept?

Not sure how to make this a debate subject so I will just ramble along and see where it leads us.

One of my major per peeves: The idea that mean are inept idiots who don't know what they are doing without us woman folk to guild them.

I see it from time to time on various forums, ladies complaining that their DH's do every thing wrong (uh, no they just do things differently from how you may have done it).

Do you or have you every thought that your DH needed you around in order to make sure that he does things right?

I don't think men (or women) are inept.

As I posted I do not think that she meant her comment to be insulting in anyway. I think that she felt she was complimenting my DH and did not realize that her comment could be taken another way.

I am not going to go to class and tell her "Do you realize you called my DH inept". But if there is every a point in our discussions where it would be a simple leap to bring up this topic I may do so.

We have some chores that are his either totally or primarily, some that are mine either totally or primarily and some that we share fairly equally but in many cases what decides that is not what one is more skilled or efficient at but which one hates it the most. I have always thought that one of the perks of marriage is sometime not having to chores you don't like.

"But I don't, because I ain't stupid! If he's gonna do it, I'm gonna let him. If I start trying to make him do it "my way", then he'll quit and I'll have to do it. "

A lot of ladies have not figured that out.

But the question is, is the kitchen clean when he's done, or is it still dirty?

With a few exceptions, it's clean.

I have figured it out, and I'd still rather have it done right than have him do it.

Then let him do it his way!
