A 2 year old and 17 month old twins. First she accomplished *that* through two surrogates! Wonderful what modern medicine can do.
Anyway, she doesnt work full time, she consults to several companies so is out of the home one full day then a few hours a day on other days. Sometimes for work, sometimes to go to the gym, etc.
She has a full time live in nanny, and two part time nannies. Essentially they always have someone with them and the kids. She feels she needs two to properly care for her three.
I immediately thought of all the comments her lifestyle would elicit from this board.
The day she and I met she had just come from a 2 hour session at the gym, and was then heading off to go do some shopping.
BTW, she's a complete rock star in industry, having 'retired' a year ago after a 30 year career that took her right up to the top of corporate America so she's definetly *earned* her right to do whatever the heck she wants.
But anyway, she feels she is a super hands on mom. I was curious what others would think?

There aren't any guarantees. That is all I am saying. You seem like a good mom, I'm sure your child/ren will be fine.

For some kids yes, others not so much.

It's hard to know without looking at individual cases.

I haven't said that my children aren't getting any practice. Individual children differ, frankly. There is no one thing that will be the perfect solution for every child.

I had a positive school experience.

Do you really think you get more one on one time with your children then I do when I am with mine all day? I doubt that.

Who says it has to be made up? I find homeschoolers to be every bit as acceptable for company to my children as public school kids. You for some reason don't.....whatever.

Of course the negatives of PS would come up in conversations of why I homeschool. Why wouldn't they? I have also said that there isn't a one size fits all. All children are different. One form of education may benefit one child while another benefits the other. Homeschooling isn't for everyone, I can see that. I wonder why you have such a hard time admitting that public school may not be for everyone.

No, because the social aspect of PS is the least of why I homeschool.

I am not in the least bit concerned about my daughter's ability to handle social situations.

I never said that was a solution. Last time I checked oral sex in the bathrooms at youth group wasn't a concern, lol.

Exposure in ps is a little more well known. I don't avoid it, it hasn't been a big issue.

Do you think that doesn't happen in the bathrooms at the youth groups but it does in public schools? Really?

Have you heard of Rainbow Parties?
