Militants - are they for real?

It's about Dr. Laura saying that all women should be SAHMs until the child is at least 3 years old.
Whether we're talking about working or staying at home, I can't quite wrap my head around what is going on inside the brains of people that apply the phrase "all women should".
Do you think militants are actually serious, or just trying to get a rise out of others?

No way! Everyone knows that the best way to find a dreamboat provider husband is to go to college and major in something silly and useless while mingling at all science/math events in search of that perfect guy! ;-) The MRS degree is the way to go!
Ding-dong sums up Dr. Laura very nicely. I don't have to read the article and get my blood pressure up; I know her stance well.
Outside of people with a pulpit, like her, I do think that there are RL people who are militant about SAH. I've met a few. And I hope for their sake that life never presents them with an obligation to work, because that might cause the space-time continuum to buckle or something.
