Militants - are they for real?

Someone on another board posted this link.
http://blogs.babycenter.com/celebrities/2009/04/12/dr-laura-says-all-moms-should-stay-at-home/?scid=momstodd_20090414_A:2&pe=2U8vYLf
It's about Dr. Laura saying that all women should be SAHMs until the child is at least 3 years old.

Whether we're talking about working or staying at home, I can't quite wrap my head around what is going on inside the brains of people that apply the phrase "all women should".

Do you think militants are actually serious, or just trying to get a rise out of others?

Exclusive breastfeeding isn't necessary.

That's a really sad opinion.

"Can you tell me at what point someone is too far into labor to get drugs."

It has been almost 20 years since I had a baby but I think I was 8 centimeters.

"Is there any way I can determine that I'm close before I actually get there? "

Not that I know of.

"And is there really some sort of unbelievably painful "burning" sensation as the baby is born?"

I do not remember any burning sensation with any of my deliveries.

My first delivery is very fuzzy. Since it was my first I think they expected it to be a fairly long labor so drugged me accordingly. But it was only 4.5 hours from my first contraction until she was born so I was basically stoned when I delivered.

It's not possible to pump at all jobs, or to pump sufficiently at all jobs. And I'm sorry you feel that way about breastfeeding.

I had one c-section after 21 hours of labor -- and two elective c-sections.

the mommy olympics have nothing to do with school districts raising the bar for kindie. the fact is that kindie is today, what first grade was years and years ago.
