Militants - are they for real?

Someone on another board posted this link.
http://blogs.babycenter.com/celebrities/2009/04/12/dr-laura-says-all-moms-should-stay-at-home/?scid=momstodd_20090414_A:2&pe=2U8vYLf
It's about Dr. Laura saying that all women should be SAHMs until the child is at least 3 years old.

Whether we're talking about working or staying at home, I can't quite wrap my head around what is going on inside the brains of people that apply the phrase "all women should".

Do you think militants are actually serious, or just trying to get a rise out of others?

What your daughter does your daughter does.

Eh, I don't think I want to eat dinner with you guys. ;)

But I'm perfectly willing to accept tears to the perineum as a trauma.

Let's do some simple math.

It doesn't have to be that much to make an impact given the time value of money.

I don't think that ordinary, uncomplicated pg and childbirth constitute "medical trauma," and irl if I heard someone refer to it that way, I would think they were a bit over the top. YMMV.

As long as you have what makes you happy.

Why would the quality of life be better with less income?

Ugh, that could easily have been me with dd1. The more I hear about episiotomies, the happier I am to have had a c-section.

When you reach that stage where you think you really, really need something, you are probably in transition and it is almost over. Transition is the hardest, but shortest phase of labor. I just kept telling myself that, and it actually did work.
