Militants - are they for real?

It's about Dr. Laura saying that all women should be SAHMs until the child is at least 3 years old.
Whether we're talking about working or staying at home, I can't quite wrap my head around what is going on inside the brains of people that apply the phrase "all women should".
Do you think militants are actually serious, or just trying to get a rise out of others?

I think it can, be a financial loss to work...at least if one looks at only the employee paycheck/expenses side of the equation, but that doesn't mean it's a loss overall.

The fact that by working I am able to contribute to a 401K and have the company match as well as social security and employer matching...is something that I can only get by working.
Oh, I think I se e the confusion.
By "see no value at all in having a SAHP," I meant not for any particular fmaily about themselves, but see no societal value in having SAHPs.
