Someone on another board posted this link.
http://blogs.babycenter.com/celebrities/2009/04/12/dr-laura-says-all-moms-should-stay-at-home/?scid=momstodd_20090414_A:2&pe=2U8vYLf
It's about Dr. Laura saying that all women should be SAHMs until the child is at least 3 years old.

Whether we're talking about working or staying at home, I can't quite wrap my head around what is going on inside the brains of people that apply the phrase "all women should".

Do you think militants are actually serious, or just trying to get a rise out of others?

I can't even begin to imagine WHO that might be, LOL! How do you figure a dcp or preschool teacher or nanny can actually RAISE the child in their care in less than 40 hours per week? WHat about the other 128 HOURS per week? What about the family rules, religious education, academic education, housing, clothing, medical care, etc???

Nope. Yet again you are, woefully, flat-out wrong.

A man is suppose to work and support his family.

Except in Dr Laura's case, where she decided to become the main breadwinner in her family.

God forbid the man becomes disabled and his disability payments aren't enough to support the family. His wife COULD work. Or she could divorce him and marry somebody not disabled who could support the family. I wonder which stwinns would pick as the more ethical (not to mention loving) choice.

When I do answer your questions, you ignore the answers. I told you I had children, why do you referencing your posts

False choice. Having a job doesn't mean you don't see your children. You see them when you are not at work. Loving a job doesn't mean you don't love your children. Ask pretty much ANY father. Nobody has ever assumed that a man who loves his job doesn't love his children. No choice needs to be made. Ask your own husband, unless you secretly believe that you love your kids more than he does.

You could also be clever and buy insurance for such disasters.
