Militants - are they for real?

Someone on another board posted this link.
http://blogs.babycenter.com/celebrities/2009/04/12/dr-laura-says-all-moms-should-stay-at-home/?scid=momstodd_20090414_A:2&pe=2U8vYLf
It's about Dr. Laura saying that all women should be SAHMs until the child is at least 3 years old.

Whether we're talking about working or staying at home, I can't quite wrap my head around what is going on inside the brains of people that apply the phrase "all women should".

Do you think militants are actually serious, or just trying to get a rise out of others?

That would be a direct contradiction to previous posts were it was stated that a child should be give up for adoption.

<<You are neglecting your home duties. You will have to complete your chores when the children are home. They will not get your full attention. You will be neglecting them.>>

Interesting, so it's okay for a sahm to be away from their children (who are being cared for by someone else, in this case the teachers/school) as long as they are performing their " home duties".

No, if you only play with your children and do not include them in your "home duties," that is neglecting them. Children are part of the family and can work right alongside their parents, learning to be productive and to enjoy the feeling of contributing to the family. Children who get nothing but their parents "full attention" often grow up to think the world revolves around them and their wants, and often do not have the chance to learn to be self-directed. No one does their children a favor by making them the constant center of attention in the family.

So then it would logically follow that the traditional school is also raising children.

<You should be. >

I should be ashamed that because while daughter is at school I am working as a programmer instead of doing laundry.

Really, so there isn't anyone in you life (doctors, lawyers, teachers, clerks, shop keepers, etc, etc, etc, government officials, etc, etc, etc) who are not working mothers?

Wow.

How does that work if you have more than one child?

Everyone must have only one child, and when that child goes to school the mother must either homeschool or wait outside the school doors like a puppy dog so as to remain fully available to them. Eventually the world population will go down to two people, and each person WILL have the full attention of the world (as long as they never leave each other's side while hunting and gathering).
