Your dh, he is doing it wrong. Catholics, pft! Catholics can be forgiven, every Sunday. But read some Kirkegaard. That is some heavy-duty guilt, good, solid Protestant guilt ;).

Traditionally, of course, the masters of using guilt on others are supposed to be Jewish mothers. But as dh always tells his Jewish friends when they trot out how bad they have it, Greek mothers are the true masters in this department. We have several, several - seriously, Greek friends who went to law school, because any time they talked about doing anything else, their mothers went to bed and called all the relatives to come and make their last goodbyes.

We have moved a lot also..My mom use to get onto me about how it effects the kids ..I have never felt regret, guilt or bad about our moves. In my mind they were always positive. Maybe I should have some regret or guilt and am not as sensitive to my kids emotional well being concerning moves as you are. Not saying that your sensitivity is a bad thing..Perhaps it is better then they way I have approached it, but guilt and regret are not allowed in my life. For me

of course guilt is an emotion but i think it's about recognizing what is you did and moving on.

Maybe I define guilt and regret differently then some of you here..Or maybe their are different levels of guilt. IMO guilt and regret are extreme negatives. If I ate to much pie would I feel guilty and regret it ..No probably not..I may say it tongue and check but I really don't mean it in a negative..Just that I ate to much pie and Im going to swim a few more laps or walk another mile to work it off..Or my shorts may not button..lol

I know I use to at times second guess myself .Am I doing the right thing..Did I make the right choice but meditation, pary
