Monday's Dr. Phil show will deal with the battle between the SAHM's and WOHM's. Could make for an interesting discussion here if we all watch it.

So your solution when you have a spouse that does not sgree with everything you want is to dump him and find a new one. So what if the new DH is willing to support her fincancially but doesn't agree about other things, does she dump him an move onto number three. For someone who talks about how important marrige is you seem pretty flip about ending one.

How about in reverse, if the DH decided to dump her and marry someone who would WOH, would you also see him as blameless?

That's what I'm getting at...would she really want to do it? Of course, I know that people *can* do it, but I think it's as PNJ is saying, if they wanted that lifestyle, they'd already be close to it before they had children. Once you have the lifestyle, it may be harder to change it and live without those things. I felt really bad for the lady, but I also think she wasn't being realistic about making those lifestyle changes.

Why is it a terrrible thing to say, if in fact, it's the truth?

Sounds like your DH is a lot less interested in "equality" than you are. . . .

You also forget that it ought to be assumed, unless proven otherwise, that we just "emote" and our working spouses are the ones doing the "thinking."

Ok, let me try again.

How much of the overall FAMILY obligations does your DH take care of?

How much of the DOMESTIC obligations does he take care of?

I've forgotten - what's an average work day for him?

WRT to separation anxiety, did you also give up evenings out with your DH while your child(ren) were suffering separation anxiety?

I'm curious how he makes $175 - $500 K a year but doesn't miss any (or many) family obligations.
