My little taste

Today I am getting a little taste of what it would be like if I were to SAH rather than WOH.   I am off work and DH is working.

I am getting  the errands done that I usually do Friday evening/weekends. Really enjoyed doing my grocery shopping when the stores were fairly empty.  In a bit I am going out for lunch with DD3.

I do realize that it is just a small taste.  If I were home full time I would not be doing laundry, grocery shopping or going out for lunch every day and there are some things that I would be doing that I am not today.

Then perhaps you should read the post that you are totally agreeing with and quoting because it contained more than someone's mil.  Read.

Yes, one can't exactly call it a debate, conversation seems to fit the subject.  You are taking a a unique angle on my questions, you know given that you are having a conversation with others on this very same board.  But I guess you are struggling for power or something, lol.

You too?  Wow, I just see this board as pure entertaiment, I mean given the conversations about sunscreen, Lake Michigan and so on, how could one take it any other way...you are trying to gain power?  Why?

Me too, what? I was agreeing how Jam's MIL is.

Or defends the behaviors behind such a dysfunctional family? There's the disease of alchoholism in his family which bord has brought up about her own too.  I'm sure living with that is rough as are other problems.

Very true. I know other posters on here have had to live with alcoholism in their families (a parent, I think, right?). Very sad. Frown

Speaking of trying to define this board, THardy, how would you describe a response such as Spring's quoted above? Is that debate? Because that seems to be a typical Spring response, followed of course by not accepting any answer for 50-3,000 posts and then bringing it up over and over and over later on during other discussions.

Surely, you've recognized the pattern.

The more some people talk the more sympathy I have for their MIL's.

You should count your lucky stars you don't have a MIL like Jams. Undecided
