Nanny vs housekeeper

I was reading this article on CNN: http://www.cnn.com/2011/LIVING/08/17/real.life.nanny.diaries/index.html?hpt=hp_bn8
Is it just me, or does anyone else make a distinction between a nanny and a housekeeper?

I'll take one of each, thanks! :smileywink:
Really, though?
LOL, I think many women have had such thoughts at some point or another.

The woman in the article doesn't need a nanny; she needs a wife. Honestly, I think that's what some high-maintenance women really want.
When I was working FT and my kids were little, I expected our nanny to take care of the kids, first and foremost. Some days, she had time to cook a meal or do their laundry, but I would never have asked her to do mine, or to do anything in the kitchen other than prepare and tidy up after the kids' meals. I had a cleaning service to do housekeeping, and what they didn't get to, I did myself.
As the kids get older, the nanny can take on more of the housework if it's in her job description and she has accepted the job as written, but cleaning out some passive-aggressive person's spaghetti bowl shouldn't be in anyone's job description.
I'll go along with everone else and sa that there is something not right here.

That's what I was thinking - 10 nannies in 9 years?
a nanny sounds better, Lol..but really, 10 nannies in 9 years?
It depends onthe age of the children.
