I don't see anything wrong with seeing one's parents most weekends or every weekend, but if the student is with their parents ALL weekend EVERY weekend, that means that they never have weekend plans of their own.

Even the Duggars let their adult children fellowship with other young adults in groups.

Nobody said that it is a bad thing to see one's parents frequently, and nobody said it's a bad thing to see one's parents every weekend (say, for lunch on

What do you mean by "very frequent" visits, EGD?

"..i don't think an outsider looking is qualified to assess what a parent visiting every weekend even looks like. "

Maybe you aren't (qualified), but I have enough judgment to understand what all weekend evrey weekend from Friday night to Sunday might means.

“Clearly," said Arthur,"you're an idiot- but you're our kind of idiot. Come on.”

I went to college in my hometown, so I went to my parents pretty much every weekend for a couple of hours to do laundry. It worked out well, and I still had plenty of time to hang out with my friends. Having your parents visit occasionally while you are at college is nice, imo-- especially if they are the kind of parents who bring yummy homemade food and/or give you a little extra spending money and/or take you out for a nice meal outside of the dorms. Having them spend all day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with you is something else.
