About what it is now minus the crisis of Penssic and the Joust.

for me, a perfect schedule wouldn't change a whole lot even after my kids are grown, i offer my time every once in a while to the schools and i love doing that, i love the faith based setting too.

Where things are different now from when my kids were younger is then I had to keep their schedule it mind, now I don't. I can work hours that work best for me.

It is all about me now. LOL

Your ideal schedule is my usual schedule when I work, sometimes with another couple of hours in the afternoon and/or a business dinner.

i am as involved in church ministry as i am the schools, i'd like to devote more time to both or either later. no, public school isn't faith based.

i don't envy a position that's all about me at all.

Why? When my schedule is no longer dependent on children, as is emptynester's, I will plan my schedule on what works best for me and my husband. It will allow for a lot more golf, traveling, reading, and further education, and less time spent viewing soccer, cross country, and baseball.

I envy that position especially today as it was cold, but I will miss some of my children's activities when they are grown and gone. I am happy to chauffeur to and view their activities now, but I will have plenty to do when they have moved on into adulthood.

Yeah. I was just thinking that while I adored my children when they were small and happily constructed costumes, carved pumpkins, and traipsed the neighborhood with them, I am just as happy to be sitting. Here in my pitifully decorated but warm house, happily passing out candy to other people's children.
