Unrelated to the topic....can anyone tell me how to close a poll that I've started? I'm new here and just learning how it all works. I can't find a link to cancel the poll I started. Thanks!

Why does she need to still be attacked? She wasn't aware that she was going to be treated like this.

This board is getting to be no fun anymore. It is a shame that

do you mean you want to close voting or to delete the post? I think if you want the whole post or thread deleted you can click on the first post and sort of "report yourself" as it were in a comment to the community moderators that you'd like the thread taken down. If you want to just close the poll or remove the poll I think if you click on your original post and hit 'edit" you may be able to take the poll out. I'm not 100% sure.

But if you're taking it down b/c you feel attacked I hope you'll reconsider -- with few exceptions that are usually quickly dealt with - people are rarely personally attacked -- are they disagreed with? sure! Do people use sarcasm and cynicism and phrases like "yeah right" or 'cry me a river " or "In your dreams?" yeah sure. Imagine if you were ina big group of women from all walks aof life and the kind of give and take and strong disagreements you'd get while you sat around over coffee to debate the issue. You'd hear things you don't like and you'd say things others don't like but if you really listen and if you stick around top ay attention you'd see that many of us have been here long enough to know when to say "you know...I agree with you now on this..." or 'I never saw it that way" or "I still don't agree wth you but I respect you" .... i can be on the TOTAL opposite side of an argument with someone in one thread and allied with them in another and offering personal support on an unrelated issue on another thread. And at the end of the day really like them. Are there posters here I've seen be mean? sure. But we pretty much know their drill by now. I'm not a "oooh my child is my life and my light and my joy and my life was empty until I had her" kind of person. I'm just not. I'm never gonna be. But it doesnt' make me hateful. do I make jokes that poke fun at posts? you bet. but I'm not hateful nor are 99.9% of the people here.

hang in here for a while and you'll see we're a cool bunch.

I've heard enough & no I don' t plan on sticking around.....I'm tired of wasting my time here and I am tired of getting angry messages. I'm sorry I ever tried to have a nice, honest discussion on this board. There seem to be more rude comments than healthy discussion here.

Thanks...I'll see if that works. I just want to end the polls because I've been getting too many responses. I don't have time to answer or even read all of them.

well I really hope you don't go the "I'm taking my ball and going home b/c the playground kids are mean' route... because save for the occassional bitter blip on the screen people here aren't mean. We're smart and opinionated but we all really love our kids and believe in what we do whether its work, stay home or a little of both.

To be fair, the whole debate board format is quite shocking if you're not used to it.
