This topic "piggybacks" on the priorities topic where we discussed what we gave up as working women and moms, what do you think our children give up...honestly!? What do you think they gain? Also please mention your own mothers status and your experience of a child as a SAH or WOH.

Thanks!! Unfortunately he knows how irresistible he is. Even DH has a hard time scolding him (making bad memories) when he looks up with those baby blues.

Well duh....these memories don't just HAPPEN, you know. You have to PLAN. When my kids were little, I would first go to a scrapbook store to see if they had any cute pie paper and stickers. Then I would go buy my children matching outfits that coordinated with the scrapbook pie paper. It would ruin the whole think if your children were wearing something that didn't match the paper, don't you think? Or if they were wearing something torn or frayed....it just wouldn't reflect well on the parents (of course, by Middle School all bets are off). Then, once we had the paper and the outfits, I'd pick the pie. My very favorite year was the year I got some cute Mary Engelbreit paper and the boys wore red shirts and we baked cherry pie together.

Of course! I am sure we will still be talking about at those pies at her wedding too, after all, we don't have much else to talk about.
