This topic "piggybacks" on the priorities topic where we discussed what we gave up as working women and moms, what do you think our children give up...honestly!? What do you think they gain? Also please mention your own mothers status and your experience of a child as a SAH or WOH.

Then why was it a big thing on facebook? Who were these people discussing it?

Really that's what it means, trick or treat doesn't have anything to do with athletic shoes.

"In school teachers, one with 30 years of teaching experience."

30 years' experience teaching exclusively art? Or perhaps something else and art on the side? Out of curiosity, on what basis have they decided your dd is very talented? Is she remarkably far ahead of her peers in drawing skills, sense of color? something else? Have they given you more concrete info on her skill sets, what she might like to study in the future, what she needs to improve?

But you have relationships with others on that board? Do you normally post to that board?

My preschooler told me he thinks handing out candy in his costume was the best part of Halloween because he got to see the older kids in their costumes. I think he also liked hearing the 8-12 year olds tell him he looked cute more than hearing their parents say it.

There were seven people. I have their names, ranks, and social security numbers. By the terms of the Geneva Convention, that's all you're entitled to. I tried to message you with the information, but you're evidently not set up that way. Too bad. I will, per the terms of the convention, place the information on file with a neutral party. Feel free to contact the Secretary General of the United Nations for further information.

Perhaps because as you stated, different people have different experiences....and those different experiences are often shared, debated and discussed.

I have no idea why a stranger would be so interested in my posting habits, and find your questions intrusive.
