This topic "piggybacks" on the priorities topic where we discussed what we gave up as working women and moms, what do you think our children give up...honestly!? What do you think they gain? Also please mention your own mothers status and your experience of a child as a SAH or WOH.

security cameras? maybe they can take a picture every 5 minutes? Or you could give the kids the script for the day, and only pause to take pictures at the appropriate times. That way, the time between the pictures can still be the memories of actual parental interaction.

"In school teachers, one with 30 years of teaching experience."

30 years' experience teaching exclusively art?-yes, school art teacher.

Or perhaps something else and art on the side?--an everyday school art teacher

Out of curiosity, on what basis have they decided your dd is very talented?--I have gotten letters and calls about how well the teacher thought she was in art. She has displayed her work and wanted to use for her own personal use.

Is she remarkably far ahead of her peers in drawing skills, sense of color? something else?--I wouldn't say remarkably far ahead, but she is very creative.

Have they given you more concrete info on her skill sets, what she might like to study in the future, what she needs to improve?--she is in a new school and I did not get to meet her new teacher yet.

When the great underage baking debate was going on here, I was moving from GA to FL. Unfortunately, DH and the boys had to stay in GA for 4 more weeks to finish out the school year. I was so depressed being away from them during the week and the underage baking debacle got me through all that!! I also "allow" both boys to help me with laundry because they love to help out. I can only imagine the scandal underage laundering would cause...

I find it a bit odd that you are at all concerned about my posting habits or lack thereof on any board except this one; it is all rather strange.
