This topic "piggybacks" on the priorities topic where we discussed what we gave up as working women and moms, what do you think our children give up...honestly!? What do you think they gain? Also please mention your own mothers status and your experience of a child as a SAH or WOH.

Friends would understand your traditions and not debate them, correct? Why was it such a big deal on your facebook then?

Did you miss the post where they gave candy to the ToTers that do come to their door?

or do you think that they are under some obligation to seek out more people to share with? My family has meals every night that we do not invite anyone else to, or put out a sign that says "Dinner Time, All are Welcome" though we would share if someone comes to the door. That does not sound any different than what featherfriend does on Halloween.

"Is she not capable of thnking logically b/c she's never been ToTing?"

And again, she does not know because she has never been TOTing. It has NOTHING to do with thinking logically. She is ASSUMING what TOTing is like.

You missed my question:

If she asked if she could do it (even though I think at her age now, she has lost out on the experience) next year, would you allow it?

And one with over 30 yrs. of experience. Not sure how many NEED to tell her that she is a good artist and very creative. ANYONE can do that with or without formally art training.
