This topic "piggybacks" on the priorities topic where we discussed what we gave up as working women and moms, what do you think our children give up...honestly!? What do you think they gain? Also please mention your own mothers status and your experience of a child as a SAH or WOH.

Maybe one day you will actually post on that board. I am sure the other posters would LOVE to hear from you :-)

So now you disapprove of this poster because she didn't have enough TOTers that came to their house? Now your supposition is that if one doesn't get enough TOTers to your door you are abnormal?

Conformity seems very important to you.

Why are you sure of that? Anyone who would "love" to hear from me probably hears from me regularly on the boards I do post on, such as on Facebook. The only people I don't post to on any board are people with whom I don't have a relationship.

Again conformity seems to be one of the more important values you feel need to be taught to children. I guess you don't adhere by the saying that eggd posted from her son's preschool "Differences are beautiful" I believe that was.

Not really conformity, because some people seem to be allowed to do "different" things. In fact, she is always asking people if they are aware of the fact that different people do different things. It's just that some different things seem to be more different than she likes. I do not know. It is all very confusing.

Anyone could tell her that. Doesn't mean that Anyone would be right. Anyone could look at a pile of poo and say its creator was a good artist and creative.

*note: I'm making no judgment on the quality of M2B's daughter's art. I haven't seen it, nor do I have the artistic background to make a judgment any better than Anyone.*

Then why assume it to be true in this situation?
