This topic "piggybacks" on the priorities topic where we discussed what we gave up as working women and moms, what do you think our children give up...honestly!? What do you think they gain? Also please mention your own mothers status and your experience of a child as a SAH or WOH.

Well, people really are not obligated to explain to the world why they do and do not celebrate certain holidays. I think most people would just accept that they do not celebrate if they say they don't and move on from there.

Now it wasn't that long ago that CM Pat told everyone on this board that any poster can post to any thread or respond to any thread they want. Would you like her to post that again, it seems you have forgotten it.

Those friends of yours who do not celebrate Halloween for religious reasons, are they doing their kids a big disservice by not taking them trick or treating? Or is it only Featheredfriend who is doing her kids a big disservice, in your opinion?

You''ve got to be kidding me....

AGAIN....The question of, if your children asked if they can go TOTing (including you buying or making them costumes to do so), would you allow them to?

It depends.

Sorry to hear that. What about your husband?

Not that I know of.

Did they ever ask if they could go TOTing?

No.

Please show me what post you said you allowed them to TOT when they ask.

There is no post, b/c I never said that, lol.
