There's something on this board that has been bothering me, and I hope I can articulate it.

No, I said that not being able to handle sah was a personal limitation on your part. And that *some people* werent creative enough and did better when things were laid out for them (like having a job to go to 40 hrs a week and have a specific task rather than coming up with things on your own). Some people need that kind of structure, some do better without it. Nothing wrong with admitting that.

Again, why is it okay for you to make slams, but if it gets said back to you, its suddenly *personal*??

I have to admit that my first few months of being at home with my kids was difficult. It took a real effort for me to get organized and come up with stimulating activities for them AND keep the house in some sort of order. It is really hard to be in complete control of your entire day when you are used to having specific expectations and tasks to do.

Hmm,most reputable dcs/preschools here have two teachers per 6 kids.I guess they are bored, too.I guess you think nannies sit on their backsides all day, too, since they generally only have 1-2 kids.

Because you live in a neighborhood, that by all indications,is low middle class,if not low ses.I live in a middle to upper middle class town, and I can assure you ALL kids have been read to,taken to the library, and had storytimes out the wazoo.BTW,not all wohms use dc,anyway,so it is clear that your argument is nothing more than your sick preoccupation with your neighbors, your step sons live in ,and your dhs exwife.

LOL, I'm not the one who dragged my neighbors into this argument. Oh and not lower middle class at all.

No, the kids weren't the issue. My issue was finding enough to keep my busy all day long. I'm not into things like scrap booking or other busy work. I'm not going to invent things to keep me busy.

Depends on the kids ages. Around here, you'll only see a 3:1 ratio with infants. I think three infants would keep me quite busy. My two weren't the same age.

Where I LIVED. My current job allowed me to move my family away from there. And it was a lower middle class area.

Stimulating young children's minds and bodies is NOT *busy work*. You insult dcp and nannies with your insisting that child care is mindless work. It absolutely is NOT unless you choose to make it so.
