Statement in a post below.
I wholeheartedly disagree. To me, SAH is a choice. How is that going back to the 1950s, when a lot of women didn't have much of a choice.

Because based on his one year of experience in public school, school most likely would be boring and mundane to him and he would need the contests, trinkets and etc to get him excited about school.

If you read that article and didn't get anything out of it other than that, well, you certainly don't deserve a pizza coupon for finishing it....
The article is a SUMMARY. I gave you the name of the book that elaborates on the arguments. The article sums up the issues that the author finds with operant conditioning in the classroom. The article points you to the actual study he is referencing. If you want actual studies, you can find them by googling -- or I could do it for you if finding it yourself is a problem.
So then how do they figure the awards?
