SAH doesn't support change,

"SAH doesn't support change, it supports going backwards to the 1950's,"
Statement in a post below.
I wholeheartedly disagree. To me, SAH is a choice. How is that going back to the 1950s, when a lot of women didn't have much of a choice.

Oh, life is a glorious cycle of song,
I've read his book and it is very helpful when trying to decide if your child should opt out of any school sponsored incentive programs. My favorite part is when he quotes educational psychologist John Nicholls (about the Pizza Hut reading program) that the program would produce "a lot of fat kids who don't like to read."
He has a new book out about The Myth of Homework and it is also pretty fascinating.
Austria likes to be different. I always cracked up at the motto for Vienna: "Wien ist anders"...you bet it is ;-). Much as I love Vienna, there is no way we could ever stand to live there again.
Cell phones are pretty cheap in Germany and, if I recall correctly, Italy. But I think you are right that they tend to be the cheapest in Scandinavia. There's a lot of competition between service providers, even for land lines, so the prices have dropped tremendously in the last 5-10 years.

No problem; it happens. Sometimes, for people who habitually misuse words, there's a sort of rhythm to their writing and you learn to automatically translate to what was probably their meaning (and it works roughly 80% of the time) :) (who was that baseball manager/owner that was famous for that kind of thing????)
I've not seen that about your posts, tho, so I was genuinely confused for a moment. :)
