"SAH doesn't support change, it supports going backwards to the 1950's,"

Statement in a post below.

I wholeheartedly disagree. To me, SAH is a choice. How is that going back to the 1950s, when a lot of women didn't have much of a choice.

I must have missed the memo that obligated every member of the board to reading and then posting to that thread.

The point is you claimed no one talked about 9/11, and yet, there's a thread that proves that claim is a lie. People DID post about it. So, what's the problem? Because not everyone did?

Why is it sad that Susannah may not have read your post? When did this board and its members' participation become all about you?

ONe of the reasons there wasn't a post about it is that in the fall of 2001 Ivillage drastically changed its format that required more band width and many of the posters on this board and on CD went elsewhwere (Esp from the boards of PP). They couldn't handle the new format. I can assure you that what remains of those posters- the topic came up. I think people generally go to those whom they were with on anniversaries.

Why is that sad? Where is it written that Susannah was obligated to read that thread?

"I must have missed the memo that obligated every member of the board to reading and then posting to that thread."

I must have missed that memo too, LOL.

"The point is you claimed no one talked about 9/11, and yet, there's a thread that proves that claim is a lie. People DID post about it. So, what's the problem? Because not everyone did?"

There was a thread started a few weeks before 9/11 but no one other than 1 person posted a post on that day. I couldn't care less what anyone posts or doesn't post about.

"Why is it sad that Susannah may not have read your post?"

Well, go back and read her post. She claimed it was "sad" that I did not know there was a Personal Debate folder to post posts like that. I was responding to her that it was "sad" that she didn't even read the thread that she pointed out because then she would have known that I did know it existed, as I posted there.

"When did this board and its members' participation become all about you?"

Where did I say anything like that? I was responding to Lois when she claimed that she was upset about something. I agreed with her that sometimes one does feel a particular emotion in regards to this board.

Read her original post again that she thought it was "sad" that I didn't even know there was a Personal Debate folder to post things like that. (I did know there was a section for that and I even posted under that same thread.) She also stated that the thread began on September 11th. If you are pointing something out to someone, wouldn't you make sure you have your facts correct? If one has the audacity to call someone "sad" for thinking they don't know something existed, wouldn't you check it out before making that claim?

Do you read the posts I am responding to or do you just like to challenge me?

edited to change the above "posts" from my original "threads".
