"SAH doesn't support change, it supports going backwards to the 1950's,"
Statement in a post below.
I wholeheartedly disagree. To me, SAH is a choice. How is that going back to the 1950s, when a lot of women didn't have much of a choice.

The fact that children grow up fast is more incentive to keep your career going, to me.

I've known several WOHMs who are helicopter moms. I'd have to say, probably just as many as those who are SAHMs.
In fact, my first experience with one was back b/f the term even existed. The family that lived next door to me growing up was a dual-income family. I babysat the two kids. If there was ever a helicopter mom, she was one. The stories my mother has told me, to this day (the daughter graduated Harvard Med school and is now an orthopedic surgeon in her early 30s) are just jaw-dropping. That mom was the role model for the type of mom I would NEVER aspire to be.
I don't think being a helicopter parent has anything to do with one's work status.
**WOH at some less than desirable career or job when one's children are older just because the children need college money would be a drag.**
I agree, but if you have adequately prepared, that wouldn't be a concern.
