"SAH doesn't support change, it supports going backwards to the 1950's,"

Statement in a post below.

I wholeheartedly disagree. To me, SAH is a choice. How is that going back to the 1950s, when a lot of women didn't have much of a choice.

ROFL Personally I've found it easier. Even with the kids around, college is much easier when you're not a dumb as a rock 20 yr old. Seriously.

Well, yes, since apparently only 27% of American adults possess bachelor degrees.

It's also arrogant to deny the importance of something that is increasingly necessary to compete in our society. If a post-high school education isn't important, why are you a FT student?

Ahh, the mark of a thorough reader. When exactly did I say the higher education is not important for anyone? Ahh I didn't... that's what I thought. I said that people who think that a higher education makes them better than everyone else are arrogant, and that there are many many people who actually are not suited for a college education, and can be very successful without it. My brothers and my husband are three of them. I also think that the "college education being increasingly necessary to compete" is just a result of too many people going to college, it becoming too easy and therefore not counting for much. I've met way too many super competent, smart, successful people with no degree and too many idiots who have degrees to believe otherwise.
