Unfortunately stereoptypical behaviour routed in fact isn't just stereotypical behaviour. Its plain old typical behaviour. People aren't going to pretend that typical female behaviour isn't typical female behaviour, just to humour women.

Sometimes, the stereotype, like the shoe just fits, whether we like it or not. These people who don't understand this kind of remind me of my sister. She believes her feet *should* be size 7 because size 8 shoes make her feet look like boats. And so size 7 shoes she wears. Ouch. I wonder if this kind of misguided refusing to accept reality squeezing hurts peoples brains too?

You mean like why I don't accept peoples own assessment of their abilties without any sort of proving of concept as in "Yeah well...I can do that TO you know...its not all THAT...I just don't WANT to!" Its mostly cause I sort of go by, those who can do, or at least, did. Those who can't just say they could but didn't want to. Thats why.

I'm sorry that you don't know the definition of stereotype.

Where do you get these ideas from? I can't think of a single man who left a male dominated field to enter a female dominated field. You have zero evidence of your claims, yet you state them as undisputable facts.

IF that statement is true, it's because almost all engineers are men to begin with. MOST people who change careers from engineer to circus clown are male. For that matter, MOST people who change careers from engineer to exotic dancer probably are male.

If you didn't exist, MSAHM's would have to make up your posts.

I don't give a rat's rear end what you do with your life, but I'd think seriously about the number of times you've been wronged in life altering ways in just the past few months. First you're getting a divorce (or not), then you were mommy tracked (or not), then you were the victim of ageism (or not). I don't know how you get through the days, but I'd wonder how you managed to be a victim so often. Either you've had an astounding run of bad luck or something quite different is going on.

Now you're doing the same quitting that you scorn in anyone else while convincing yourself that you're still the banner high. Here's a newsflash sister: it's the same thing you deride in women who decide to stay home with kids for a few years, but they have a better reason for it. You're doing it because it's not fun anymore. That's weakness.

And another newsflash: I'm 2 years younger than you are. We weren't the trailblazers. We came after the trailblazers. They opened the door for us and held it open. We strolled through. Stop patting yourself on the back for what you didn't do.

You don't think we're full of crap, you just wish we were. We just aren't prentending we can't see that most of you are part of the problem you are whining about, rather than part of the solution, as we are.
