So then her happiness is based solely on not working?

>>So then her happiness is based solely on not working? That's a pretty fine line to balance a lot of things on, first parenting and now happiness as well. Does your not working affect every aspect of your life?<<

Many many people here have said that their happiness depends on their working. How is this different?

Sure- but didn't we have this discussion elsewhere recently? That if one partner doesn't mind it, they shouldn't have to live up to the other's standard of cleanliness? If he doesn't mind his socks on the floor, why should he have to pick them up? They aren't bothering *him* ;) (Don't get me wrong- I totally agree with you- but that doesn't always work out in reality- their picking up after themselves...) At least not without me going insane first... LOL! ;)

I guess I am more detailed oriented than you, as I wouldn't rely on answers from faulty data but if you think your mission is accomplished.

***Early childhood ed classes?***

Yes- because after my kids are grown I'm going to be in the education field. The classes are required for my degree- I choose to take them now because they are also relevant to my *life* now. But I'd be taking them eventually *anyway*.

***Speed dial doctors?***

I barely can tell you my own *name* at 2am, let alone what anyone's phone number is! LOL!

***A library of parenting books?***

It took us over 5 years to conceive our first child. During that time reading about parenting and children was my way of making it seem like an attainable reality.

***And IMO, what's at the heart of this kind of obsession is insecurity.***

LOL ;) Well- I'm glad your opinion doesn't reflect reality ;)

***How about going with the flow?***

Oh- make no mistake- I very much do. It's just not your flow. :)
