I was a sah at the time, but it only took about 2 days to day train my son. I'd guess a working parent could accomplish it over a long weekend.

What I got from ebonymadame's posts is not that she has no part in raising those children, but rather that she's working to incorporate as much of her sister's way of doing things as possible. Consistency is good for children. I don't see anything sad in this, other than the sadness of whatever circumstances are making this arrangement necessary. But it sounds like she's just trying to keep consistency in the childrens' lives and make the transition to her home and hopefully eventually back to her sister's home as smooth as possible. For her to say that she's taken over raising the children would be to say to herself, the children and her sister that this was a permanent change and there was no going back. And it sounds like nobody in this family wants it to be like that.

I've explained how they are a bit of both, numerous times in this thread.

Great and i know that is what she is doing and i think it is wonderful but she is raising those kids from what she has said ... she is a part of those unbringing she is the biggest influence right now in their little lives fiance also and to flat out deny your are raising those children i see as a sad outlook view and it is not positive for the children or her. but that is my opinion.

It is weird to discuss her when she is not in the room i wish this was a hypothetical b/c i in no way want to harm her feelings.

It is just my opinion and how i view it.

That's what I got from her post as well, and I commend her both for taking the children in and for her commitment to making it as easy a transition for them as possible.
