such "preschools" offer an atmosphere that isn't age-appropriate. i have seen horror stories of children left to stew for an hour or more in their own soiled clothing in such places, and you can't convince me that there is any good reason for any parent to put her child at risk for such a thing.

providing age-appropriate care for children on the cusp of toilet training is generally both more expensive to do and requires more regulation than the type of care you are esteeming. the fact that some programs are willing to offer something that is inappropriate and uncomfortable for children does not make this better--the difference is worse for children by any measure.

<Me neither. I am clearly not understanding how a parent at work can potty-train a child during the week. >

You really aren't serious are you?

my dd potty trained in a day (a single sentance, really), and my ds potty trained at home before he started using the toilet at dc, so i don't really see your point.

Am I the pot or the "keetle?" LOL Anyway, I didn't twist your words, I cut & pasted them directly from a post. TWisting words seems to be your forte, as in "someone said DCP and teachers are the same, I disagree" which would be a nice point IF someone actually said that. :-)

<>

My point was that DCP's DO NOT raise children, parents do.

Why are you curious, when you quoted me to others?

No more than me pointing out that using what one poster said to agree with an entirely different argument against a different poster means I said you said all.

<>

Yes, I gathered that. What I don't see is how what you posted supported that point.

<>

I have no idea what you are trying to say with this psuedo-sentence.

<>

Yes, I understand that you agreed with her.

<>

Because the part of your post that came after "ITA" was confusing. And I've never said if I agreed or disagreed with you, so that doesn't factor into it at all.

<>

My point is that it doesn't matter how many posters you have read it from, unless you read it from the poster being addressed in the post to which you agreed. Unless you are saying to agree that her post applies in general, and not to the specific poster being addressed.

<>

Agree to disagree with what? And yes, you are getting at least one person confused (I can't speak for anyone else, though I suspect I'm not the only one).

I don't think so, but lets look at the actual posts.

Here is my comment from post 532:

Go back and read your posts, you labeled that view and in a negative light.

Again, why would you have to make that point?
