Is the SAHM the new status symbol?

In the 70's and 80's women fought to get into the workforce (the whole Ms. magazine generation)...and then the tide turned in the late 1990's when more women started to stay home by choice. Now, it seems like being a SAHM is a status symbol....and superior to being a working mom.

Yeah it is i had no idea it to be true...Some people can be real cheap that is why many places add gratuity on the check automatically and print it on the menu.

You don't think I'd pay less in taxes if everyone reported 100% of their income? You are pretty wrong.

I don't understand - your DH doesn't report all of his income?

Then get a job, or get your DH a job where he makes enough you can give cash to charity. Don't give your charity in the form of under the table tips - shame on you.

Hee! Join the club of latecomers; if it helps, you're not the only one who had the late flash of insight only to find it had already been done :)

No, please DO mention environmentally friendly products. I have birds and the normal store-bought chemical based products are deadly; the environmentally friendly ones don't usually have toxic fumes--I'm always on the look out for alternatives.
