Is the SAHM the new status symbol?
| Tue, 09-23-2003 - 10:36pm |
In the 70's and 80's women fought to get into the workforce (the whole Ms. magazine generation)...and then the tide turned in the late 1990's when more women started to stay home by choice. Now, it seems like being a SAHM is a status symbol....and superior to being a working mom.

For me, the best thing about breakfast in bed (which we do for each other on Father's and Mother's Days only) is that I get to stay in bed longer, don't have to make the kids breakfast or clean up. The actual *eating* of the food in bed is irrelevant.
Do you (like M&T) wash your sheets/towels daily too?

So you have a problem with it. Bully for you. It is your own.
I can't believe people have issues over how many times someone takes a shower, changes their sheets, or washes their towels!

It *is* so relaxing! I think I enjoy the late night snacks more than the breakfasts, but both are great.
Maybe *you* need more in life than that. But my cup runneth over. And no, it doesn't compare to *any* animal.
Good grief, I don't even allow pets on the property, yuck. (but that is a personal thing)
