I don't know if this is "debatable" but I'd like some advice/opinions from SAHM's and WOHM.

I'm starting to think about putting my toddlers in DC once they are about 2 yrs old. I don't WOH and don't plan

Now, Now be nice!!

No it truly was an April Fools. If you have ever seen any of my other posts I am not one to really flame on anyone. I believe you just have to do whatever it takes to make a happy and good life for your family whether that is having no children, one or a lot or staying at home, working from home, or working outside the home- going to daycare or not going to daycare.

I do however will flame a bit on my homeschooling board when they say no socialization which is a stereotype like a lot of people like to stereotype working outside the home Moms and stay at home Moms.

Hey we are all Moms that love our kids that try hard to provide for our kids.

I waited to respond so quite a few people could respond before saying April Fools.

Anyhoo, hope you all have a great day!!

Man as soon as my Daughter found out she did that old joke "There's a spider on your back thing or your whatever. " I was glad the day was over.

Trish :)

I love it when people squirt stuff out of their nose :) I hopefully will never make you cry. But if you watch "Autism: The Musical" (it was on HBO last week and is bound to show up on Netflix) that might do the trick. But in a good way. The title sounds like it would be in bad taste but it's actually about a handful of autistic kids who muddle their way towards somehow doing musical theater. (My dd is on the lighter end of the autism spectrum. The very idea of her or any other kid with autism actually consenting to be on stage just struck me as so outlandish I had to check it out.) This is all OT, but hey, I felt up to the challenge of thinking of something that might make you cry but in a good way.

Thanks ladies. I appreciate the support. :-) I really don't feel guilty about admitting that I need a "break". I'm definitely not trying to be supermom. Never have wanted to be.

If you feel you need that break during the day, and your child is happy to be at the daycare, then by all means go for it. I feel my son is too young (18 months) to be away from home that long, but all kids are different. And six months makes a big difference...maybe when my DS is 2 I'll feel differently about leaving him. If you decide to go that route, I would definitely look around and find one that is more of a preschool type setting and less of a babysitter setting...kwim? I plan to put my DS in preschool around age 3, but only if he's ready for it. I wouldn't feel comfortable dropping him off at dc or preschool hysterically crying for me. I think if they're old enough and mature enough then they'll enjoy the time at preschool. My mom said that when we went to preschool at age 3 we just ran in and started
